Integration – combined and fallen apart
What a year for all of us…
More time to create art, but also a confusing period. A real confronting year in many ways. I made very different kind of works. With links to the pandemie, portraits of my mother (who died of Covid-19), abstracts, very busy ones with lots of stuff. On this page I organised it a bit to and show a selection.

With my way of painting I want to achieve a few aims. I combine images of different backgrounds, which creates a mixture of painting styles in one painting next to each other. This effectuates a layered painting full of conflicts and still working as a whole. The surface can be rough or fine but always with a ‘painted skin’. I use threads and pieces of fabric, details which are hard to see on the photos.
Better to see them in real life, but details can show more.
About my paintings

More works
In 2020, the year of Covid-19 I stayed almost the whole year in the studio. Lots of time to create new works. In the beginning the works reflected the pandemie, but later it disappeared as a subject.
