Costumes
In this serie watercolors (1.10 x 2.80 m), I am mixing national traditions in another way: by mixing traditional costumes.
I am aware of the fact that costumes can have a special meaning for persons or groups. At the same time they can be dominant and stand in the way for changes. Ofcourse mostly it is a matter of history in daily life. Playing with it is soon seen as a mockery. I am just curious what happens visually.
